Welcome to OpenLearning's Micro-credential Symposium 2020
Join us - from wherever you are - for this complimentary one-day event, and discover the potential for micro-credentials across the Australian education ecosystem.
About
Join us on Wednesday the 25th of November 2020 for the inaugural OpenLearning Micro-credential Symposium - a complimentary virtual event designed to unpack the potential of micro-credentials.
Background:
In July 2020, OpenLearning released its micro-credential framework designed specifically for the Australian education ecosystem and its lifelong learners. In the lead up to its launch, OpenLearning engaged with more than 300 individuals and institutions as part of its consultation process.
We see the launch of the OpenCreds framework as just the beginning of our ongoing dialogue with learners, industry, and education providers. To that end, the OpenLearning Micro-credential Symposium, is our way of enabling a cross-sector dialogue about micro-credentials.
The Symposium will include keynote presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities centred on:
- Enabling a cross-sector dialogue about micro-credentials
- Providing an overview of the current micro-credential landscape in Australia and globally
- Outlining the identified areas of need and corresponding opportunities for education providers
- Engaging with local organisations who have, or are in the process of implementing their micro-credential strategy
- Supporting connections with EdTech partners and solution providers
